Population served: Adults, 16 and over
Eligibility: Skill levels (reading and math) must be below the 9th grade level as determined by state required tests.
Purpose of program: This program is for the recruitment, training and placement of volunteer tutors with adults who need to improve their basic skills in reading, writing, math and English as a Second Language.
Services available:
- Volunteer Tutor Training and Training Handbooks One-on-one tutoring
- Small group tutoring
- Tutors in ABE/GED classes, area public libraries and other locations as needed
- Area Literacy
