Oversight Committee Role
The Oversight Committee reviews regular reports provided by the Fiscal Agent describing financial activities, programmatic issues and outcomes related to local area performance and compliance and provides a periodic, formal overview to the Board regarding these activities and outcomes. The Oversight Committee directs the disbursement of grant funds on behalf of the Board, reviews and approves annual audits, and responds to external findings regarding finances. The Oversight Committee will be responsible for creating an annual LWIB budget for recommendation and approval of the full Board and CEO’s. The Oversight Committee coordinates responses to external reviews of program and/or performance and negotiates performance measures for the local area. This Committee is also responsible for reviewing training program performance and formally recommending initial and subsequent eligibility of training provider programs to the Board.
